How to Cook Hyojawon Brown Rice Noodles

Hyojawon Brown Rice Noodles require a slightly different cooking method from regular wheat noodles.

Add the noodles to boiling water and stir once immediately. Since these noodles are made with brown rice, the strands may stick together if they are not stirred after being added to the water.

Cook thoroughly for approximately 5–6 minutes. Turn off the heat, cover the pot, and let the noodles rest for about 5 minutes.

After resting, rinse the noodles thoroughly under cold water and drain well. They are now ready to use in your favorite noodle dishes.

How to Use the Noodle Cooking Water

• The cloudy water left after cooking the noodles is similar to rice-rinsing water.
• Enjoy the cooking water warm, like a comforting tea.
• Use it in soups or stews to add deeper flavor, or use it when making kimchi.
