Cooking Instructions
- Thaw the rice cakes by soaking them in cold water.
- In a pot, bring 10–12 fl oz (300–350 ml, about 2 paper cups) of water to a boil. Add the Jjajang seasoning powder and stir well.
- Once the water is boiling, add the thawed rice cakes and cook over medium-high heat for about 4 minutes.
- When the rice cakes become soft and plump, reduce to low heat and simmer for an additional 2–3 minutes.
- For an even more delicious meal, add your favorite toppings such as fish cakes, eggs, or vegetables before serving. For a milder flavor, you can also add onions or cabbage.
